Multi of the Week

Going for broke: Multi of the Week (July 4)

RIGHT. Well. Last week was a disaster.

I only won one of my four legs during my last attempt – and that was Geelong beating Adelaide 1-39.

The remaining bets were all horrible fails.

Essendon upset GWS, Sri Lanka got pantsed by South Africa in the World Cup, and Hawthorn waited until after half-time to start playing football.

Well, they say third time’s the charm, so here we go:

TOTAL OUTLAY:  $10 RETURN: $345.40 (Odds boosted)

This week I’ve gone for a very different approach, and focused on only one think – AFL any time goal scorers.

With the way the game is currently being played, it’s rare you see a single player kick a big bag of goals.

More often than not, it’s a lot of different contributors hitting the scoreboard, whether it be from congestion inside 50, or players pushing up the ground.

I’ve chosen two games to focus on, and have picked five players across each who I think will score:

STEELE SIDEBOTTOM v Hawthorn ($2.15)

This really is money for jam I reckon.

I know Sidey has been playing more midfield time, but he regularly bobs up around goal.

$2.15 seems overs to me.

JOSH THOMAS v Hawthorn ($1.85)

I think the Hawks could be in for a long night, and if that’s the case there should be plenty of Pies goal-kickers.

Thomas loves a snag, and all we need is for him to kick one.

CALE HOOKER v Sydney ($2.30)

A very good price for the bloke who pushed forward and won the Bombers the game against GWS last week.

Let’s hope Woosha starts the big fella up forward this weekend and he gets on the end of one.

ISAAC HEENEY v Essendon ($1.62)

If the Swans are to be a sniff, Heeney needs to fire.

And should he do so, we’re one step closer to pay day.

BEN RONKE v Essendon ($1.65)

The little live wire hasn’t really recaptured the lofty form that saw him dominate with seven goals on debut.

I just have a feeling he could turn one on against the Dons.

Hopefully there will be many winning bets to share!

Before I go any further, here is a MAJOR DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional punter, and this weekly blog is not designed to influence your betting for the week ahead – I am not responsible for your losses if you wish to mimic my bet (if you do, and lose, at least take comfort knowing I’ve had no luck either).

This is purely a way for the average punter to view my bet for the week, ride it with me if you wish, provide feedback on my selections, or simply have a laugh at my expense as I go the whole AFL season without a collect (let’s hope that doesn’t happen).

If you want to join in the fun with me – and remember to GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY (I can’t stress this enough) – you can sign up with Ladbrokes HERE.
